New Wonton Garden

by Peng Li on February 28, 2010

Right across the street from Big Wong this place is a bit overrated, especially from a restaurant with a long history in NYC.

We ordered 3 bowls of duck wonton soup but it mostly consist of bone pieces, Big Wong serves much better duck. The wontons were not smooth at all and felt like something I could have purchased from Hong Kong Supermarket. It had a piece of shrimp inside but it was very tiny.

My other friend ordered fried rice and it came out pretty good. But it’s fried rice, how can you go wrong?

Do I recommend this place? No.

Great Eating in Flushing

Sorry, not really a review but I ran into this interesting map in the Times the other day. Just thought I would like to share it with all the foodies out there. This was part of an old article two years ago but they just updated it with some more places.

I know I haven’t been updating, and trust me I feel really bad about it. I have reviewed some other places but not Chinatown-centric. If interested you can check out my Yelp account at
