Honestly, we were going to Joe’s Shanghai but the place was crazy crowded like usual even on the night before Thanksgiving. Decided to give this place a try and was pleasantly surprised. Much better decor than Joe’s Shanghai and there was only one other party in there.
The soup buns was a given, they were very big and juicy. Compared to Shanghai Cafe I actually like Joe’s better.
The wine chicken actually got my friend a little dizzy o_O. I liked it a lot, strong Chinese rice wine flavor and tender chicken.
Rice cakes with chicken was very tasty as well. The chicken was very full of flavor, make me want to have them just stir fry chicken for me next time. The waiter was extremely attentive because it was basically empty. Price is reasonable and the three dishes was not very expensive at all.
Funny side story: Since we were the only other party there the waiter seated us right by the window. Turned out to be great advertisement for them since the restaurant quickly filled up to a FULL HOUSE shortly after. Think about it, two Chinese dudes eat by the window of a Chinese restaurant; what could be a better endorsement for the tourists that passed by.
